“ The food and environment were amazing. They have live animals there for viewing: donkey, black bears, lemur, gators, there's even a sloth (which was my favorite). NO PETTING OF COURSE. We had the wild game trio (all three were great, but the bison was amazing), along with the mushrooms, which were really good. The Bison ribeye with a loaded sweet potato, the American Angus burger, spike burger, and fries and last but not least the woods and water. Our waiter was Alex (I believe), and he was very inviting and had great recommendations. I'm looking forward to going back. However, I'd recommend going early and during the week if possible. We waited over 1 1/2 hours (which is very long), but their live animals and gift shop made the wait tolerable. Food, service, environment, all of the above was 10 of 10. No complaints. Oan, there's only one bathroom(per sex), so there was a line, but that wasn't an issue. Thank you all for the warm welcome and great experience. Oan, get there early. Since the wait is really long, it's worth the wait. ”

“ The first thing to expect is a long wait. That is a good thing because it lets you that this is a very popular place. It gives you time to see the wildlife (and 5 charge and worth it) and also find a relaxing place around the fire pit. I can just say relax and enjoy the evening. I ordered the Elk Steak with a Blackberry Reduction with Mac n Cheese, and Cowboy Beans. Dinner also comes with rolls. The meal was awesome. I had a hard time deciding which wild game I was going to try. It just gives me options for the next time. Needless to say, the meal was awesome. The service was great. The atmosphere fits the wildlife game theme. The crew was also helping celebrate several birthdays while I was there. I cannot wait for the next opportunity to dine here. ”

“ We were told by friends it would be 1-2 hour wait, so we were prepared. It was 1 hour wait time, but we spent that time in the wild life sanctuary and the antique store. The food was delicious. I definitely recommend the fried green tomatoes. We had Elk steak and bison steak, both were very good. ”

“ Many groups, like ours, went to Bama Bucks to celebrate someone special. I had no idea what to expect. It was more than I imagined a restaurant could be. I shared a few images of the exotic animals, but I didn't want to take away all the surprises. There is a cost for the viewing zoo. Rides are limited times and extra. It's great to walk around while waiting for your table or after while you digest. Just be sure to have 30 minutes to oooh and aaah over the animals. Zoo closes 30 minutes before the restaurant. The food was great. It felt a tiny overpriced, but it's well worth the experience. All the dishes have a rich and unique flavor. It is not recommended for the super picky eaters. We are in the south, a good tea is a must! For those that like sweeeet tea, you may add some sugar, but for the rest of us, it is perfect. The meats were all delicious and tender. The sweet potato fries had cinnamon and sugar. The 3 sausage sampler had a Wickles kick in the side items. The sausages were sweet. I was expecting more meat in the sampler. The desserts were amazing. My family said the bread pudding was the best they ever had. I have food restrictions being grain free and avoid dairy. I had the Cranberry Red Venison with a sweet potato and side salad. Everything was good. I highly recommend trying this place at least once. It builds great family and friends' memories. ”

The ribeye was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor, and the sides (mac and cheese mashed potatoes) hit all the comfort food notes you’d want from a Southern kitchen. The lodge-style building sets the mood from the minute you pull up, and inside, it just gets better. “ This place is fantastic!! We drove a little over 2 hours to try it. I had the Drunkin Buffalo, and my friend had the Bison Ribeye. I also ordered the Creole Gator Bites for an appetizer. The food, service, and atmosphere are absolutely amazing. It's too far to go very often, but well worth the drive. They also have a whiskey barrel store, antique store, antler store, general store, and wild animal park. ”
